The employee moves some cases of energy drinks and sodas off the passenger seat so you can sit down. The trip is pretty quiet as you eat and drink the meager meal and before long you reach the park entrance, exchanging only basic small talk. You're worn out from the hike and the employee still has a long shift ahead of him. You grab your backpack and get out, thanking him again for the ride, and trudge back to your cabin, feeling a bit less isolated.
The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful.
